Hotel Miramare

The Miramare Hotel is located on a panoramic viewpoint and stands only a few metres from Cala Gonone's splendid beaches. It was the first hotel built on Sardinia's eastern coast and has been proudly offering its guests a courteous and caring service for over three generations.
Our hotel boasts an innumerable amount of celebrity guests who have appreciated the Miramare's services. Some of these famous names are: Eugenio Montale, Chick Corea, Lina Wertmuller, Ornella Vanoni, Dizzie Gillespie, Ornette Coleman, Dee Dee Bridgewater and many other world-famous musicians. Our list also includes famous sports celebrities and nature lovers such as the famous free-climber Cesare Maestri from Cerro Torre (who in the 70's introduced new sites along the cliffs in the Gulf of Orosei). Also notable are the professional divers and underwater lovers such as Gianfranco Zola and many others more.

Recently renovated, the hotel provides 35 tastefully furnished varied sized rooms. They possess colour satellite television, telephone with modem/fax connection, mini-bar, safe, air conditioning and bathroom.
The rooms are spacious and may offer the right solution for each guest's needs. As well, guests who choose a room with a terrace have the opportunity to look out onto the spectacular view of the Gulf of Orosei. This exulting coastline, which includes ten magnificent beaches with crystalline coloured seas, is among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean. The beaches closer to the town's centre may be reached by foot whereas others may be reached by way of boat with departures from the nearby tourist port.

In our garden restaurant, our guests may sit and enjoy the shade under a swaying palm or ficus tree. Our restaurant serves Sardinian and Italian cuisine as well as seafood/fish specialties.

The hotel allows both small and medium-sized pets.
